Getting here

From the A1 towards Vienna leave the motorway at the exit at Thalgau. From there follow signs for Hof bei Salzburg, then Faistenau, then Hintersee. (22km from the motorway exit to Hintersee).
(It is also possible to reach Hintersee from Hallein; however this is not recommended, especially not in winter)
