The menu also has a wide range of light and vegetarian meals, or you can top-up on vitamins at our generous salad bar. Gasthof Hintersee is a member of the Salzburg Traditional Inns Association - your guarantee of genuine, high quality local cuisine.
 Our traditional Salzburg specialties are particularly well-renowned. Local organic beef features heavily on the menu. Our 'specialty weeks' are a particular highlight - we offer tasty, down-to-earth traditional meals such as freshly cooked knuckle of pork, assorted special dumplings, fresh local fish, farmers roast pork, and organic beef specialties. World famous Viennese cooking also makes an appearance on our menu - 'Wiener Schnitzel', boiled beef, or steamed trout, all followed by a home-made gateau or pastry. We also gladly serve authentic local desserts such as Rauchnudeln, Salzburg sweet dumplings, shredded pancakes, apple strudel or Gugelhupf - ask your waiter for an explanation!
